Join Bruton Friends of Palestine for a discussion with aclaimed political journalist Peter Oborne.

Peter Oborne is an award-winning writer, journalist and broadcaster who has worked for various newspapers, including the Spectator, the Daily Mail and the Daily Telegraph, where he was the chief political commentator until his resignation from the paper in 2015. He now writes for Middle East Eye and Byline Times.. He is the author of numerous books, including The Rise of Political Lying (2005), The Triumph of the Political Class (2007), the Sunday Times bestseller The Assault on Truth (2021), and The Fate of Abraham, (2022).

Oborne’s forensic new book, Complicit: Britain's role in the destruction of Gaza, lays bare the extent of the UK political and media establishment’s complicity in Israel’s destruction of Gaza.

In this powerful evening of discussion and insight, he’ll explore how journalists and politicians have helped shape and support a narrative that obscures the reality of the crisis.

Put your questions to the Sunday Times bestselling author and join a timely, urgent conversation about power, truth, and accountability.

There will be copies of Oborne's new book available to buy at the event. There will also be a bar with soft and alcoholic drinks available to buy.

Profits from the event will go to charities working on the ground in Gaza.

Arrive from 7pm, talk will start at 7.30pm.
