Queer Hikes Winter Solstice Walk

The Taff & Glamorganshire Canal Circular

A fairly easy route suitable for most abilities, walking by the canal and nearby nature. The trail length is around 7km and will take approximate 2 to 3 hours including breaks. Some parts can get muddy in the winter so best to prepare with appropriate footwear!!

Start point: Hailey Park, by the car park near Llandaff North Rugby & Social Club. (One of the organizers will drop a location pin in the Whatsapp Group when they arrive to the location)

If you are using public transport the start point is a short walk away from Llandaff Train Station

Start time: Please arrive from 10:30am for an 11am start

Depending on the weather/temperature we will stop for a short lunch break.

• yourselves and any pets, children or looked after/cared for adults you bring with you on the walk (this include staying with the group and not wandering off, includes sticking within timeframes i.e., lunch or arriving to hike) we do not have the capacity to look for nor wait around for people
• wearing the appropriate attire suitable for the weather and terrain conditions
• bringing food and drink
• reading the Eventbrite details and All Trails details if provided and deciding whether the walk is suitable for you
• turning up on time
• bringing any personal medical aids and first aid materials if you think you may need them

As a community we should:

• be kind, welcoming and respectful to everyone attending our walks
• see to event organisers Kat and Venla or other Helpers if there is a concern
• take all of our rubbish with us or use bins
• only attend events that we have selected tickets for, and cancel the tickets if can no longer make it
