The Sorries: Live in Haddington - St Andrew's Night with The Sorries

By The Sorries

Overview

The Sorries head to Haddington for St. Andrew's Night, with their show of Scottish folk favourites. "Riotous fun" ***** THREE WEEKS

THE SORRIES are delighted announce they'll be playing a special St. Andrew's Night concert at Haddington Rugby Club, East Lothian

With guitars, bodhrans and mandolin in hand, the duo sing, play and banter their way through a selection of songs from the much-loved Scottish songbook. Although some date back over 300 years, the pair’s arrangements and harmonies make the tunes sound as vibrant as ever.

Their career has seen The Sorries travel the country playing venues as diverse as Murrayfield Stadium, the Isle of Eigg Community Hall and the Thomas Paine Chapel in East Sussex, while 2019 saw them take Moscow by storm when they headlined the Samhein Festival in the Russian capital.

The duo’s annual shows at the Edinburgh Fringe – over 300 shows in 16 years – have established them as firm Fringe favourites and helped to build a loyal fan base which stretches from Clapham to California, and from the Western Isles to Western Australia.

“Deliciously infectious…this show is riotous fun that affirms just how alive Scottish folk music is.” ***** Three Weeks
“Authentic, lively and hugely, hugely enjoyable. ***** Broadway Baby
“A must for lovers of Scots songs.” **** Edinburgh Spotlight
“Songs both rousing and reflective… entertainingly true to a noble, public-figure-swatting tradition.” The Herald
