About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours
  • Ages 18+

Psychedelic science has gained significant momentum over the past decade, emerging as one of the most promising avenues for addressing mental health challenges across the globe. While this therapeutic use is increasingly legitimized by the biomedical establishment, community-based and traditional uses are often sidelined or even criminalised.

What are the greatest challenges faced by the psychedelic medicine movement? How do psychedelics work to treat mental health problems?

In this talk, we will explore the history of psychedelics, their therapeutic foundations, and the diverse ways they are used—both in clinical settings and in broader sociocultural contexts. We will also reflect on strategies for fostering coexistence and dialogue between these different perspectives.
