Get ready to spring into race season with a morning of movement, recovery, and connection at The Run Rx in Somerville!
This free community event brings together runners of all levels for a fun, flexible morning — come for one portion or stay for it all. Whether you’re training for a race or just curious about what we do, you’ll meet our team, learn from experts, and leave feeling stronger and more prepared for the miles ahead.
🕘 Schedule of Events
8:30 AM – Pilates for Runners (optional + limited spots!)
Start your morning with a 30-minute mat Pilates class led by our sister studio, The Pilates Rx, focused on core strength, hip stability, and balance — all the things runners need most.

9:00 AM – Group Run (optional, all paces welcome!)
Join our team for a relaxed 3-mile run around Somerville, all paces welcome.
👟 Try out a new pair of Altra running shoes with on-site demos available before the run!
9:30–10:15 AM – Recovery + Injury Consults
Return back to The Run Rx studio post-run (or join us starting at 9:30 if you’re skipping the earlier sessions) for:
- Free injury consults + jump testing with our Doctors of Physical Therapy
- Normatec boots, foam rolling, and recovery tools available
- Snacks + drinks to refuel
- Time to connect, explore our space, and chat with our team
10:15–11:00 AM – Fueling & Hydration Talk + Q&A with Sports Dietitian + Physician
Learn how to fuel and hydrate for training, recovery, and race day with the expert team from the new Women’s Health and Sports Performance Medical Clinic
Join Sports Dietitian Laura Moretti alongside Sports Physician Dr. Zainab Shirazi for a practical, interactive discussion on optimizing performance, staying healthy through your training cycle, and answering your most common nutrition and medical questions.
Bring your questions — this team works with runners of all levels and is an incredible resource!
