Event description
The Rise of Additive Manufacturing & 3D Printing: Large-Format Additive Manufacturing Equipment and Technology

About this Event

Additive manufacturing and 3-D printed polymer parts, fixtures, assembly guides, mold patterns and a wide variety of other applications are rapidly gaining their way into modern manufacturing shops.

Increasing the build size increases the possibilities for builds: Users can create larger parts, removing the constraints of more standard sized build envelopes. In 3-D printing a large part all at once, less time is spent designing around multiple print jobs and assembling multiple parts and more time getting those parts to work for you.

Getting started with large-format 3-D printing can be a big step, but with potentially massive results. It all starts with looking into why you want to 3-D print, what your goals are, and what you need to meet your requirements.

This workshop, led by Select Additive’s Brady Schoner, will introduce you to large-format additive manufacturing equipment and technology with many examples and case studies to help you see “the bigger picture” large format printers offer.

The workshop is part of CCAT’s Additive Manufacturing Educational Series and will be held at CCAT’s Advanced Manufacturing Center on Wednesday, November 6 from 12:00 to 1:00PM. Lunch will be provided.

Call 860.610.0478 for more information.

This workshop is sponsored by Select Additive and BigRep.
