The Right Direction Project

Mission: Cultivate the appreciation and utilization of all musical skills, while inspiring a wide range of knowledge for career development in the next generation.

Vision: RDP envisions a future where musicians are not only artistically fulfilled, but also financially and professionally equipped—redefining what it means to be a working artist. We believe in ending the ‘starving artist’ narrative by preparing young musicians for lifelong success in every aspect of the industry.

"Art creates a profound connection between artist and audience. Through that connection, both can heal." - Rick Rubin

The Sonic Lifeline is more than just an entertainment group; we are a catalyst for lasting memories, meaningful relationships, and the cultivation of a vibrant artistic community.

About the Venue:

The Hemingway Room is an intimate space hidden away within Little Havana Restaurant. The 60-seat cabaret-style setting offers a private bar, a full restaurant menu and an incredible listening environment.

Over 20 years after opening, Little Havana has become a landmark in South Baltimore, serving brunch, lunch and dinner 7 days a week year-round. Little Havana continues to be an important part of the fabric of Federal Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods and welcomes The Sonic Lifeline Jazz Series to the Hemingway Room.

Organized by

“Music can lift us out of depression or move us to tears – it is a remedy, a tonic, orange juice for the ear” Oliver Sacks (the late-neurologist).
