The Rewind storytelling workshop

By The Rewind

Overview

The Rewind's bi-monthly workshops are playful, hands-on creative jams to help you discover and craft true, personal stories from your life.

This month’s workshop is themed Much Ado About Nothing.

It’s easy to think a story needs something BIG or life-changing to count. A hair-raising encounter with a wild beast. A devastating divorce. But some of the best stories are about things that, on the surface, hardly matter at all. This workshop is about those moments: the molehills we turn into mountains.

The evening will include:

  • story-discovery prompts
  • the low-stakes story challenge: how big can you make a little thing?
  • small group work and feedback

For inspiration, check out this gem from our very own Joseph Price about entering the DC adult spelling bee:

As always, there will be pizza. BYOB!

Please RSVP if you plan to come so we can get an accurate pizza count. Email with any questions.
