The Restorative Process: From Preparation to Conversations-Pt2

This interactive four-hour training equips caseworkers, violence prevention specialists, and street outreach workers with the knowledge and skills to facilitate restorative conversations effectively. Participants will explore the complete restorative process, from initial preparation to meaningful dialogue, using practical tools and evidence-based strategies.

The training emphasizes critical competencies, including active listening, conflict mediation, and communication skills, while addressing advanced topics such as peacebuilding, motivational interviewing, and risk assessment. Attendees will also gain insights into the role of social media in gun violence and learn how to mitigate its impact on communities.

Through role-playing, case studies, and group discussions, participants will develop the confidence to create safe spaces, foster trust, and engage diverse stakeholders in constructive conversations. This session prepares professionals to handle conflicts with empathy and collaboration, empowering communities to build stronger, more resilient relationships.
