The Responsive Body: Sexual Healing Q&A with Rahi Chun & Ali Mezey

By Ali Mezey, The Brilliant Body Podcast
Online event

Overview

Join renowned Sexological Bodyworker, Rahi Chun, and Sexologist & Somatic Therapist, Ali Mezey to answer your questions on sexual healing.

In this 90-minute free live event, we invite our audience to join us, Rahi Chun (Somatic Sex Educator) and Ali Mezey (Sexologist and Somatic Therapist), for a warm, frank conversation and live Q&A, following up on our mutual podcast host-guest exchange about embodied sexual healing like you've never heard it. And yes – we want you to get your questions answered!

And just so you know, this event will become episodes for both The Brilliant Body Podcast and Organic Sexuality. And we'd love your participation! However, you can remain off-camera and anonymous, even submit a question via private chat.

What we’ll explore together:

In our episodes, we dive into the deep links between sexuality, embodiment, trauma, and healing – and how culture, conditioning, and lack of education can quietly shape what we think is “normal” in intimacy and pleasure.

In this live follow-up, we’ll expand on:

  • Pleasure and protection: how the body learns to open, close, brace, fawn, freeze –and how to work with that wisely using Genital De-Armoring and Personal Geometry
  • Safety, consent, and nervous system capacity as foundations for intimacy (solo or partnered)
  • How shame and judgment cut us off from connection – and what helps us come back online
  • The healing potential of conscious touch, clear communication, and self-awareness
  • Practical ways to create more intimacy without pushing past your body’s “no” (or abandoning your “yes”)

If successful, our intimate relationships can be a huge source of health, happiness, and belonging. And when they’re not working, they can be a profound source of distress. This event is for anyone who wants more honesty, more choice, and more body-based clarity in their intimate life.

A quick language note on inclusivity: you may hear terms like “vagina-owner” and “penis-owner.” These are used to be respectful and inclusive – because gender is complex, and anatomy doesn’t always match identity.

A gentle trauma note: we may speak about how safety can allow old material to surface in intimate contexts. That doesn’t always mean “this is healing” – it can also mean overwhelm or a signal that something isn’t right. We’ll keep returning to the question: What is your nervous system able to be with, right now?

WE WELCOME YOUR QUESTIONS – so please either bring some or allow your curiosity to be inspired by the conversation.

WE HOPE YOU'LL JOIN US!

ALI MEZEY Bio

Ali has worked in renowned rehab centers in Los Angeles for sex, drug, and alcohol addiction for over a decade where she developed Personal Geometry® to address the challenges of working with sexual trauma, compulsivity, dysfunctions and discontents.

By using the universal power of spatial relationships (externalizing the subconscious “knowing” embedded in the body) Ali helps people access the trauma and true needs behind their body, sexual, and addiction challenges – issues that often elude therapists and clients when years of talk therapy don’t identify or resolve what’s underneath.
