Yenisei Bell

​Yenisei Bell provides high expertise in public and private sectors, luxury multimillion-dollar residential projects, and educational, housing and non-profit organizations. With multi-faceted experience in the AEC industry for 20 years. Her passion for projects with a lasting social impact is evident in her significant contributions to programs such as Build It Back for the (Housing Recovery Office)(HRO) in New York City, Affordable Housing for (HPD), and the development of schools through NYC's School Construction Authority (SCA). Bell is committed to leaving a legacy of empowerment by focusing on underserved communities, ensuring they benefit from her work, visions and leadership.

Yenisei Bell started her career as an Architect, she worked on design bringing innovative ideas, always wanting to break the mold, focusing on shaping the design with forward-thinking, and demonstrating the importance of architecture as a means of expression of human psychology for a healthier and physical lifestyle.

Became interested in industrial and interior design, expressive power, and personal study and analysis of color (an aspect that is still a constant in her work). These projects have had positive impacts on each of the communities where they are located. I have been fortunate that my career has given me this opportunity. Bell is also working to advance women in construction as president of NAWIC Chapter 240 Greater New York and the DEI Northeast Regional Chairwoman.

She strongly advocates equality, diversity, and innovation in the construction industry. As well as increasing the female presence in the construction industry. With relentless ambition, Yenisei Bell expanded her expertise into the broader construction field, specializing in construction project management and working with industry giants such as AECOM Tishman, IBTS, Bravo Inc., and serving as Vice President of Construction. Today, she proudly owns her own construction management and consulting company in New York City, where she combines her experience and vision to lead impactful projects.

Her commitment to empowering women is further reflected in her long-standing support of the New York Build Expo, the nation’s largest and most influential annual Women in Construction (WIC) event. Since its inception, Yenisei has been a steadfast supporter of the New York Build Expo, a driving force, delivering impactful insights as a speaker year after year, leaving a powerful mark on the industry and inspiring countless women to break through barriers and excel in construction.

Award recipient of Women in Motion, The Most Influential Women in Construction, The Right Person for the Job and Trailblazers in Construction.


Darryl C. Young Sr.

Darryl C. Young Sr. is the President of The New York State Careerist Society, Incorporated, and serves as the 1st Vice President of The Federation of African American Civil Service Organizations, Inc. (FAACSO). He is a New York City Marshal with The United Ushers Benevolent League (UUBL) and a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), Mid-Manhattan Branch.

Darryl discovered his passion for architecture and the building industry while being educated in the New York Public School System. He majored in Mechanical Drawing and graduated from the Vocational Foundation, Incorporated Joint Manpower Program (J.U.M.P) as an Architectural Draftsperson, later advancing to a Construction Inspector. Additionally, he currently holds a position with the NYS Department of Labor, Bureau of Public Work.


Sharene Wood

Sharene Wood is a dynamic lifestyle entrepreneur, brand strategist, and business leader. As President & CEO of a suite of Harlem-based lifestyle brands—including 5001 FLAVORS, Harlem Haberdashery, HH Bespoke Spirits & Water, and Wood Enterprises—Sharene oversees business operations, brand development, and client engagement across fashion, retail, and beverage industries.

Her custom fashion house, 5001 FLAVORS, has styled icons such as The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, and Marcus Samuelsson, while Harlem Haberdashery, located in the historic former home of Malcolm X, has been recognized as one of Harlem’s top boutiques. The HH Bespoke Spirits line, praised by Forbes and The New York Times, includes vodka, gin, and rum, and the recently launched Bespoke Water is now sold nationwide.

Sharene is also the Board Chair of #TakeCareOfHarlem, her family’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit, which delivers year-round programs addressing hunger, youth engagement, and arts access. Through Wood Enterprises, she provides strategic consulting and business coaching for emerging entrepreneurs.

A Columbia University graduate with an honorary doctorate in humanities, Sharene is a proud Harlem native and Prep for Prep alum. She was a featured speaker at TEDxHarlem and has been recognized by numerous organizations for her civic leadership and entrepreneurial achievements. She resides in northern New Jersey with her husband, Guy Wood Sr., and their daughter, Sydney.

Victor Baker

Victor Baker is the Managing Partner of Mid-Atlantic Investment Alliance, a specialized redevelopment and construction firm focused on boutique investment opportunities in Northern New Jersey. With a robust background of over 15 years in real estate development, complemented by a decade in the securities and investment industry, Mr. Baker has a proven record of success. His expertise lies in securing financing and implementing infrastructure for complex projects, including public-private partnerships and urban redevelopment.

Mr. Baker has overseen a diverse portfolio of commercial, rehabilitation, and new construction projects. Notable achievements include the completion of Lofts @ Lincoln Park, a 55,000 sq. ft. ground-up condominium development in Newark. Most recently, his firm broke ground on a 42-unit mixed-use redevelopment in Newark's Central Ward, continuing his commitment to the region's growth. A native of Buffalo, New York, Mr. Baker is a graduate of Rutgers University.

Tawana Simona Shorter

Tawana Simona Shorter is a mission-driven housing finance executive with over 20 years of experience across residential lending, multifamily housing, and public-sector leadership. Tawana began her career in residential mortgage lending, working directly with homeowners in Brooklyn to build equity and stability through access to homeownership. She led first-time homebuyer education sessions, provided foreclosure prevention counseling, and helped families navigate grants, credit repair, and lending options. She later transitioned into multifamily finance, where she has overseen affordable housing preservation, credit policy, and portfolio strategy at institutions including Freddie Mac, Capital for Change, and the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD). Tawana is also the founder of The Ownership Guide, a community-centered initiative focused on equity through homeownership by providing education, tools, and one-on-one support to aspiring homeowners. Her work bridges grassroots advocacy with institutional leadership. Tawana is known for championing equity in housing policy and mentoring the next generation of housing leaders.
