The Queens of Shadow and Sovereignty: Demeter
Overview
Embark on an eight-week exploration of the divine feminine’s most potent and paradoxical forms. This series moves beyond simplified goddess archetypes to meet the sovereigns who rule the crossroads, battlefields, wilds, and the depths of the human soul.
Each week, we will devote ourselves to a different goddess—Hekate, The Morrígan, Cybele, Brigid, Hathor, Demeter, Lilith, and Diana—unraveling her layered history, potent mythology, and complex worship. We will then trace her enduring legacy, examining how she is reclaimed, revered, and reimagined in modern spirituality, feminism, and pop culture.
Each 90-minute session combines a richly illustrated lecture with a guided audio visualization, offering both intellectual understanding and a personal, meditative connection to the archetype studied. Prepare to encounter the goddesses not as distant myths, but as living forces of sovereignty, magic, transformation, and fierce nurturance.
Format: Weekly 90-minute sessions (Lecture + Guided Visualization); online or in person. Zoom link will be sent the day of the class.
