In this interactive workshop, participants will review, discuss, and practice a comprehensive, customizable, and convenient writing model for successfully completing a thesis, dissertation, or long-term writing engagement.


Overview of workshop:

  • Describe the six Ps of Writing Success and apply these elements to your writing process.
  • Discuss the importance of the five Essentials of Writing and implement these strategies when writing
  • Customize the writing model to design a structure that best meets your needs
  • Create a purposeful plan forproductive writing to complete your project successfully


Facilitator bio:


Dr. Johanna Andrews Adlam is the Founder and CEO of Premexcellence®, a coaching

and consulting company committed to designing what excellence looks like for

professionals in their careers and lives, students in higher education, and organizations

and institutions working in public health research or programs. She is a Social and

Behavioral Health Researcher with over fifteen years of experience conducting

interdisciplinary research studies and leading diverse research teams at the academic

and health system levels. Her research focuses on racial and ethnic health disparities,

food insecurity, healthy food access for communities of color, and stress and coping

processes for persons of color in the United States.


Dr. Johanna began her entrepreneurial journey in 2021, launching Premexcellence® to

help students and professionals design and achieve their vision of excellence on their

personal, professional, and academic journeys. She accomplishes this mission by

providing academic and public health consulting services as well as career and life

coaching services to students, professionals, and organizations. She is also a

passionate, purposeful, and present Speaker and Facilitator, who values creating

informative, innovative, inspiring, and impactful workshops and presentations in service

of the attendee’s personal, professional, or academic development.


Dr. Johanna received her Ph.D. in Public Health with a concentration in Social and

Behavioral Health from the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Las

Vegas (UNLV). She also completed her postdoctoral training in the Center for Health

Disparities Research at UNLV. Additionally, Dr. Johanna obtained a Master of Public

Health degree and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hofstra University in New

York. She also holds two professional coaching certifications: Certified Professional Co-

Active Coach (CPCC) from the Co-Active Training Institute and Associate Certified

Coach (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation.
