Overview

Experience Boston's newest Chamber Orchestra! Featuring orchestrated piano works by Bach, Grieg, Beach, Debussy, and more!

Boston’s newest ensemble, The PRISMA Project, is launching its inaugural concert season!

Founded by its Artistic Director N. F. Pratama and other young musicians in the Boston area, The PRISMA Project is a premier orchestra dedicated to reworking non-orchestral pieces into symphonic works, in collaboration with 21st-century orchestrators. Following the footsteps of the incredible French composer and orchestrator Maurice Ravel, we converge the past and the present; vastly expanding the canon of orchestral works, and ultimately shading different lights onto familiar pieces we know and love.

This December, we present our debut concert "Refractions: The Piano Reimagined" at the Church of the Covenant — a beautiful, historic venue in Back Bay. We will be featuring renown piano pieces, such as Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata or Debussy's Deux Arabesques, orchestrated into symphonic works.

We're joined by two soloists for the Fauré works: Lizzy Marlow (soprano) & Emma Rogers (soprano)

Featuring Orchestrators: Matthew Schultheis, Alex Williams, Julian Dürr, Anthony Chiappone, N. F. Pratama, Cole Kubesch, Andrew Gretzinger, Simon Royer, Jeremy Zerbe. Assistant Conductor: Ana Díaz Asencio

Join us and be a part of The PRISMA Project's history by joining us for our first ever concert!
