The Pregame is a monthly stand-up show that occurs in various pop-up locations around New York including rooftops, art galleries, yoga studios, restaurants, and speakeasies. The show was founded in June 2021 by NYC-based comedians Brent Birnbaum and Spencer Wright.
The goal of The Pregame is two-fold: to start the weekend off right with stand-up performances from some of the strongest comics in NYC; and to foster a connection between the comics and audience that extends beyond the show with an afterparty. As such, every Pregame comedy show is followed by a themed afterparty for the comics and audience members. Examples of past afterparty themes have included "Ugly Sweaters", "Horror Icons", and "Adult Bar-Mitzvah".
