The Power of Language

This training is intended for anyone interested in exploring the power of language, though is particularly geared toward clinical providers, community health workers and peer supporters.

This training will cover topics including:

• The 4 top reasons why this conversation matters
• How language influences action
• What it means to use 'open' language and why it's important
• Using values to guide your language choices
• How cultural differences can influence language

Participants will have the opportunity to listen, self-reflect and work in small groups to explore and begin to implement what they learn.
