Description

"The Power of Community Voices: Reflections of a People" is an innovative Playwriting Program for the residents of Southeastern San Diego. The new program, for ages 16 and older, will not only teach playwriting, but also teach various elements of theatre/stage production. Classes will be held one Saturday a month from 12noon to 2:00pm, beginning on March 9th. Other class sessions will be held on Saturday, April 27th, May 12th, and June 1st. Additional classes may be added. The program is free - space is limited. Follow up will be made after registration.

The Cultural Performance and Celebration will be held in Summer 2019 at Arts Park @ Chollas Creek.

"The Power of Community Voices: Reflections of a People" Creator and Producing Director is Gina M. Jackson, Artist-In-Residence at Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation and Founder/Executive Artistic Director of Cultural Noire Performing Arts Company.
