About this event

  • Event lasts 4 hours

How do you build a power station nearly a kilometre underground?

Let us show you!

In this interactive, on-demand session, your students will join our digital engineers for a behind-the-scenes look at Snowy 2.0, Australia’s largest-ever hydro project and one of the most ambitious engineering feats of our time.

Perfect for high school students, this program dives into the 28km of tunnels carved beneath the Snowy Mountains and the enormous underground caverns... big enough to fit the Sydney Opera House!

From virtual walk-throughs to real-world engineering insights, this session brings STEM to life in an unforgettable way.

This is the official portal for local students to attend this event IN PERSON at the Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre. The program will be split into two sessions, which is as follows:

Session One - Years 7 & 8 - 11:00am-1:00pm

Session Two - Years 9-12 - 1:00pm-3:00pm

Spaces are limited, so register now and explore the future of renewable energy... from the inside out!
