The Pla[y/n] for Reparation$: PREVIEW PERFORMANCES
Overview
The Pla[y/n] for Reparation$ welcomes people who are curious to learn about, discuss, envision, and practice individual and collective healing. Over the course of the event audience members will be presented a series of Yes/No questions, and like a decision tree or choose-your-own-adventure book each response sends individuals further down a branching path that will sort participants into distinct groups based on their identity, opinions, and willingness to participate in the event. Your choices will determine your role and your collective choices will determine the direction of the performance.
The main entry is at the intersection of Shattuck and 48th. It has a blue awning. There is currently construction in the area, so if you plan to drive arrive early to find parking.
Once inside please follow signage and make yourself comfortable. Light refreshments will be offered. This is a participatory performance, so your help is needed to make the event happen. There are many unknowns when creating new experimental work and these previews will help illuminate the path forward.
Thank you to everyone who is making this event possible! This project is supported by grants from: the MAP Fund, East Bay Community Foundation: East Bay Fund for Artists, Theater Bay Area: CA$H Grant, and Kenneth Rainin Foundation: New & Experiemental Works.
