Glad You're Here is partnering with Pulse Barre & Fitness in Duluth, MN to offer up a series of Listening Room style intimate acoustic concerts with the best artists from the Twin Cities and the Twin Ports.
November 1st we have dual citizens the Twin Ports & Twin Cities The Penny Peaches coming up with Duluth rising star Sophie Hiroko playing the opening slot. Get ready for a night of breathtaking songwriting and vulnerable lyricism.
The Penny Peaches are a family band with an alt-Americana sound. Sister songwriters Hattie and Grace Peach feature lyrical storytelling, blood harmonies, and soaring melodies in their songs. Hattie brings lead vocals, acoustic guitar, and fiddle to the group. While Grace adds sweet harmonies and melodic bass lines.
Riding a wave of generational change in the city’s music scene, Duluth’s Sophie Hiroko began writing songs as a teenager and found an audience last summer. Hiroko’s lyrics reflect the experience of “coming of age in Duluth as a queer woman, and coming from a multi-cultural family,” she said.
Frequently asked questions
Normally it is! But we are taking it over the first Saturday of each month starting in August to offer up listening room style concerts. Similar to how the Xcel Energy Center can be used for both Hockey Games (Go Frost!) or for concerts. The space is multipurpose.
Yes! We will have chairs for everyone. Tickets are general admission, so where you sit is on a first come first serve basis.
Nope! but we will have good N/A beer options, along with mocktails, sparkling water, coffee and just good ol' plain H20.
We have a lot that is open to all of our guests. We simply ask that you park along the building where you can and not in the Bridgemans parking lot.
Absolutely! All of the acts have been hand selected to offer up a great experience from anyone ages 1-99.
You know when your favorite band is playing at a bar and you can't hear them over the sound of everyone talking around you? this is the opposite of that. Listening Rooms are spaces dedicated to simply listening to the music being performed for you. No chit chat to distract you.
Unfortunately not, but Bridgemans is right across the street if you want to grab a good dinner before the show!
The opening act will perform a 45 minute set, followed by a 15 minute intermission, and then the Main Act will also do a 45 minute set.
