Yin yoga not just supports flexibility, range of motion, and stress management; it calls us to cultivate deeper self-awareness through the mindfulness in stillness. Yin yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on holding poses for extended periods (typically 5+ minutes) to deeply stretch and target the body's connective tissues, such as fascia, ligaments, and tendons. Yin yoga poses are held passively, without forcing or straining.
Props like blocks, bolsters, and blankets are often used to support the body and enhance the stretch. It is a practice suitable to individuals with all body types and levels of exposure to yoga.
What to bring: Yourself, a yoga mat (if you choose), water
What to expect: Yoga mats and props are provided in the studio. Street parking is available and easy to find.
