The Path Less Traveled at Sam’s Point
Overview
Are you a moderate to experienced hiker who is interested in adventuring into some of the more remote areas at Sam’s Point? Join Colleen Stevens, Sam’s Point Education Assistant, for a guided hike down South Gully Footpath. This is a six-and-a-half-mile, out-and-back hike down a steep forested path. This seldom hiked trail features a stream and unique view of the gully. Please bring lunch, water, and appropriate clothing for the weather. Snowshoes may be rented for this program for a fee of $5 per person. If conditions are icy, participants are encouraged to bring microspikes or other ice traction devices. If renting snowshoes, please arrive early. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. Meet at the Sam’s Point Visitor Center.
