5 Pillars of Storytelling

Oriented as a series of writing workshops, we explore five pillars of fundamentals in storytelling, different tools to construct them, and space to practice and draft the content. These workshops are free to all who wish to attend, and aim to impart you with the truth that your story is worth telling.

The Overview Workshop

These first two on Sunday share our Take HEART Writing Method and Overview the other Pillars; all while sharing a collaborative creative space at Expensify Bank and HQ alongside local writing groups to find even more tools to draft!

When we're done sharing these tools and getting warmed up for a week of workshops, we'll show you an awesome food cart pod called Midtown Beer Garden, by Expensify, and when you've finished getting your grub on, more of Geek Week awaits!

Unveil the Overview, and tease the content we will unfold over the week, connect with other artists, and leave with knowledge and power for future steps.

Sign Up, Learn a Way to Tell Stories

We are propping up workshops for the 5 Pillars throughout town this week, one pillar each day over the next five days of Geek Week PDX 2025, and we would love for you to join us!

Let's handle these sparks of creativity, together, and share them with other storytellers! Enkindle Your Inner Creator with Pantheon Arts, and Take HEART for the tales ahead during Geek Week and Beyond!

Frequently asked questions

How will Parking work?

Being in the heart of Downtown, the choice for parking is quite limited. We recommend taking the train to Pioneer Square and walking from there if you can, else we ask that you seek out the paid street parking.

What do I need to bring?

We will have writing implements, clipboards, and handouts for you to use and write on, so all your really need to bring is yourself, and perhaps something to carry the sheets in after - don't forget to bring some money for food after!
