About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Are you tired looking for more networking options where you don't have to pay to join or attend?

Well, The Networking Nexus is the event to check out. It brings together free or low cost networking groups together to present to expand your options around Pittsburgh.

This event brings together nine free or affordable networking organizations for a fast-paced showcase (and one free networking tool). Each group will give a short presentation covering:

  • When and where they meet
  • Their meeting format (open networking, elevator pitches, speaker opportunities, etc.)
  • Average attendance size

This is your chance to compare different groups, ask questions, and decide which ones align with your goals. Whether you're job searching, growing your business, or expanding your professional network, you'll leave with valuable connections and insights. Food and drinks will be provided. RSVP now to secure your spot!

Looking to sponsor? What will you get?

  • Limited spots - Only 3 more sponsor spots so your company will be the focus.
  • Logos everywhere - Your logo will be featured on the all marketing material for the event.
  • Presentation - before the groups present you will get a chance to talk about your business.
  • Industry exclusive - Each sponsor will be the only business in that category. If a bank sponsors then they will be the only bank to sponsor.
  • Social media - Exclusive sponsor highlight post on social media

The Groups:

  • Networkpgh.com – A free tool that aggregates all networking events from around Pittsburgh. There are so many different registration sites to managed and this seeks to bring it all under one roof. Oh yeah, you can register your events for free too!
  • The Pittsburgh Business Group – TPBG is a free networking group that doesn’t follow a strict schedule. Events are usually around lunchtime but do happen at other times too. Events are all over the city, and you can ask to have an ‘at biz’ event where you host the group and get to showcase your business for free!
  • Beaver County Network – Hey, can you make this networking lunch for $2 in Beaver? No, you’re busy… well how about next week? BCN meets every Tuesday for a networking lunch in downtown Beaver. There is time for open networking but most of it is spent with pitches and the opportunity for a guest speaker to present a bit more about their business!
  • Operation Network – Looking for a networking group that meets before you set out on your day? Well, you should consider Operation Network. They meet every second Wednesday from 8 am to 9:30 am at Bill’s Valhalla just off the PA Turnpike in Beaver Falls. Open networking, elevator pitches, speaker opportunities and a twice a year speed networking event all for free!
  • Steel City AI Innovators – Do you use AI to perfect an email? Do you use AI to design a circuit board? Do you design AI systems? Do you want to know what this new thing is? If you answered yes to any of those questions then this group is for you. They meet every second Wednesday of the month at the Pittsburgh Technology Council. There is some open networking but most of the time is for expert speakers in the AI industry or group discussions how people are using AI.
  • Say Hey Networking – Do you live in the South Hills or Washington? Have you been reading all these groups up north and west thinking “where is my group?” Well, here it is Say Hey Networking is the group for you. This group meets every third Wednesday from 4-6 pm. Most of the time is spent on open networking but there is time set aside for elevator pitches and open discussion.
  • Jewish Business Network – The Jewish Business Network is a group that hosts once month happy hours around the city every third Wednesday of the month. Their name suggests the group is for Jewish people but people of all faiths and background are welcome to come and network. If you're looking to grow your business, climb the ladder, or just connect with other like-minded folks around town then JBN is for you.
  • Brew Crew – Brew Crew is a once-a-month networking hosted at the Walnut Grille in Robinson every third Thursday. It starts at 5 pm and goes until the restaurant closes. There is a break in the middle of the event for everyone to go around and introduce themselves and do elevator pitches.
  • Stroll Treesdale - Stroll Treesdale meets every third Friday of the month. Most events are early morning from 8 am to 9:30 am but there are some events that are later in the day. It is a networking group with open networking as well as elevator pitches and speaking opportunities.
  • Your Body is a Temple – This women’s only group meets the last week of every month. It meets for happy hours in the middle of the week; either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Events get around 20 people and take place south of Pittsburgh.
