About this event

Event Details

Join site-specific theatre experts Teatro Vivo for a community celebration of the tales of Purfleet-on-Thames.

In this family-friendly show the great-great-great granddaughter of Dracula author Bram Stoker, whose legendary book was inspired by visits to Purfleet, needs your help to find inspiration for her next book.

As you unearth stories around the local area, who knows what you might find: ghostly dancers, rebellious sailors, foolish workers or a singing queen. Just as long as a mysterious stranger doesn't stop your search…

This fun site-specific theatre piece will involve walking around the local area finding stories and lasts approximately an hour and a half.

This incredible theatre show is absolutely FREE but tickets must be reserved.

Dates: Saturday, June 28 and Sunday, June 29

Times: 1pm and 4pm on both days. Shows will last approximately 90 minutes.

Location: Please meet us inside The Royal Hotel, High Street, Purfleet-on-Thames, RM19 QA just before your showtime.

Organized by

Start Thurrock is a Creative People and Places programme funded by Arts Council England.

We have a vision where more people in Thurrock can enjoy and participate in arts and cultural activity in their local area.

We all have a story to tell, and a part to play. We want to give every person in Thurrock the chance and space to express themselves, and enjoy that feeling, together.
