An Uplifting Evening of Reggae and Ska

Award-winning band NEW PRIMITIVES take a deep dive into Marley and the Wailers' legendary songbook. The concert will include "Stir it Up," "Exodus," "Three Little Birds," and more. Band leader Stan Kipper's California band opened for the original Wailers on their first tour after Bob's untimely death. NEW PRIMITIVES have opened for Ziggy, Stephen and Damian Marley, and for the late, legendary Mikey Dread.

Stanley Kipper: Drums, Lead Vocal

Chico Perez: Congas, Percussion, Vocals

Brian "Snowman" Powers: Saxophone, Vocals

Tom Peterson: Bass

"Lightnin" Joe Peterson: B3 Organ

Andrew Wozniak: Guitar

Stan Kipper has played and/or recorded with Minnie Riperton, The Bee Gees, Bill Withers, The Eagles' Randy Meisner, and more. He was a longtime member of Gypsy, playing many times at Crooners. Both he and Chico Perez (also Gypsy) are in St. Louis' Classic Rock Hall of Fame. Tom Peterson is a member of the Latin dance band, Malamanya. Andrew, Joe and Brian are all busy musicians playing around the Twin Cities.

"Whenever New Primitives do a show with me, the crowd is blown away. This is one of my favorite bands!" -TAJ MAHAL
