About this event

You definitely won’t want to miss Pittsburgh’s first zero-proof tasting event and fundraiser! Due to overwhelming enthusiasm, we’ve outgrown our original venue and are excited to announce the event will now be held at Velum Fermentation on July 28th!

Join us for an unforgettable evening as we crown the winner of the Best Mocktail in the Burgh! This friendly competition will feature some of Pittsburgh’s most creative bars, restaurants, and beverage specialists, each showcasing their best zero-proof creations in a high-energy tasting experience.

This event is a fundraiser benefiting Teetotal Initiative, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting recovery, wellness, and sober community experiences across Southwestern Pennsylvania. All proceeds will directly support our mission and continued expansion throughout the region.

We’re proud to be cohosting the event with Katrina Tomacchio, Pittsburgh’s Mocktail Queen, and thrilled to welcome the Cold Friends food truck, which employs individuals in various stages of recovery—beautifully aligning with Teetotal Initiative’s commitment to community and second chances.

And don’t forget to try your luck—we’ll have raffle baskets packed with incredible prizes donated by generous local businesses and partners.

Come raise a (zero-proof) glass with us and support a powerful cause!

Teetotal Initiative is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 non-profit focused on individuals committed to a sober lifestyle.

Teetotal Initiative’s inclusive and sober-focused high-quality programming addresses some of the most common causes of relapse - isolation, boredom, and loneliness. Our mission is to help individuals to sustain sobriety. Our goal is to enhance quality of life and support relapse prevention through free events, activities, and high-quality programming.

As the first-of-its-kind recreational sober community, Teetotal Initiative inspires a stigma-free and celebratory social atmosphere, promoting meaningful sobriety and community opportunities for all, regardless of their journey to recovery. We welcome all forms of recovery and are not aligned to any specific program. Teetotal Initiative does not provide support groups or professional medical services. Instead, we care for the “rest of life” that happens outside of formal treatment and group support and are a complement to anyone’s recovery toolbox.
