PRS is the home of a weekly reading group that focuses only on the works of Manly Hall.
The Manly Hall Reading Group hosted by Amanda Brass
Every Tuesday 7:30 - 9:30 pm
- Everyone belongs; beginners welcome.
- A short intermission happens at the halfway point and tea and refreshments are available throughout.
- Participation is strictly voluntary and there is no "homework” or any prerequisites before arriving.
Currently reading: Manly Hall's "The Soul in Egyptian Metaphysics"
ABOUT:
Part one =The metaphysics specifically spoken of in this book are from the Osirian period of Egypt. We will be reading about the Egyptian understanding of the soul and how they incorporate this concept into their rituals of development as well as their cultural burial rites.
Part two = focuses solely on what we now understand the proper translation to be "Emerging Forth Into the Sun", instead of The Egyptian 'Book of the Dead'.
Copies of the reading material are available to buy in the store, or can be lent out for the night.
--> This event runs on donations,
