Whisky ages well. Secrets age dangerously.

When Eilidh and her wife Morag buy a crumbling distillery in rural Kintyre, they dream of reviving Scotland’s first women-owned whisky house. But their plans take a chilling turn when two perfectly preserved bodies are discovered hidden in old whisky barrels—victims of a crime buried for over fifty years. As the past seeps into the present, secrets rise to the surface, and ambition soon collides with danger in this darkly atmospheric debut.

Natalie Jayne Clark is a neurodivergent poet, author and producer based in Perth, Scotland. Her debut novel 'The Malt Whisky Murders' was shortlisted for the Bloody Scotland Debut Prize and was selected as one of Love Reading's Books of the Month in June 2025.
