Can I watch the show on my TV?

Accepted Answer

You may be able to cast or AirPlay from compatible devices.

But please keep in mind this is an online livestream. We cannot guarantee that you will be able to watch from anywhere other than on a computer or mobile device.

Where will the livestream be broadcast?

Accepted Answer

The show will broadcast via a private YouTube link. The link to watch will be posted on Eventbrite's Online Event Page about an hour prior to showtime. In some instances, we may need to broadcast via an alternative platform.

Question 3

Can I watch this anywhere in the world?

Accepted Answer

Yes. As long as you have internet access you will be able to watch and/or download the show.

Question 4

What is the format of the show like? Will there be silhouettes like on MST3K?

Accepted Answer

While the film plays, only the voices of The Mads will be heard riffing. Trace & Frank will only be on screen during the very beginning for a quick intro and again at the end of the show for a Q&A.

Is the show appropriate for children?

Accepted Answer

That depends on what kind of parent you are. Strong language is used, but that's about it.

Question 6

Can I still watch the event even if I can't tune in live?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Anyone who purchases a ticket prior to showtime also receives download access within 48 hours of the broadcast ending. Just login to Eventbrite and head to the event's Online Event Page to access.

I never got an email confirmation or instructions on how to access the livestream and/or download.

I missed this event! Can I buy a download of the show?

Yes! We now offer the ability to purchase downloads of shows as soon as they are available (usually within 24 hours). Shop all available downloads at Dumb Video https://dumb-industries.com/dumbvideo

What happens if the livestream is interrupted?

Accepted Answer

If for any reason the livestream gets interrupted on our end, all ticket holders will receive a link to download a recording of the show's dress rehearsal, recorded live the night before.

Can I gift a ticket to a friend?

Accepted Answer

Yes! If you are doing this, make sure to enter their name and email address on the attendee's info at checkout. This way they'll receive all the emails on how to access the livestream and download the show afterwards. If you forgot to enter their info, email chris@dumb-industries.com to update.

Why does my download only include the movie portion?

Accepted Answer

We've had to shrink the size of our downloads as we were exceeding our monthly bandwidth limit. This small change has allowed us to keep ticket prices low and still be able to offer a free download with every ticket.

Question 14

So I can't watch the Q&A if I don't watch it live?

Accepted Answer

Incorrect! The entire livestream -- the pre-show, intro, intermission, and Q&A are all still included as streamable bonuses in your Vimeo library. You can watch them as much as you'd like, whenever you'd like.

Can I pay extra to download the Q&A?

Accepted Answer

We can't offer two versions of every show at different prices, sorry!

On top of it confusing customers, we don't have the resources to stay on top of adding alternate versions of each show. We are a very small team!
