By The Journey Theatre Project

Overview

The Machine - Or what's going' on? is an original performance created by members of the Food Bank For New York City's Older Adult Center.

The Machine - Or what's goin' on? is a short theatre piece that follows a network of family, neighbors, and friends caught up in cycles of violence and asks: How do we stop the machine of violence?

It was created based on the ideas and experiences of the performers.

It was directed by Nicole Kontolefa as part of an LMCC Creative Learning Grant.

Funding for LMCC’s Manhattan Arts Grants is provided by the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA), the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone (UMEZ), and the Howard Gilman Foundation.
