Join us for a delightful afternoon of connection, community, food, and fun!
The Longest Table: Chicago 2025 is a free community event that brings people together for a shared meal and meaningful conversation. It's a simple, joyful way to build stronger neighborhoods and lasting friendships.
We provide the tables and chairs — you bring food and friends.
Whether you're a neighbor, foodie, friend, or first-timer, you're welcome here!
How It Works
Each table will have a Table Captain — one of our amazing volunteer "hosts" who help bring the event to life!
Table Captains are responsible for gathering a group to fill a table (typically 8–10 people) and organizing who's bringing what. For example:
- One person might bring cutlery and napkins
- Someone else could bring an appetizer
- A few people can coordinate on main dishes or desserts
- Someone might even bring a table game or decor!
If you're flying solo or just have a couple of friends and you're not part of a Table Captain's group, no worries! Just claim a ticket here, and we’ll help get you settled on the day of the event.
