Event description

Description

Join President Abraham Lincoln and Mary Todd Lincoln on the eve of his birthday to hear about the genesis of his most famous speech and a treasured American document, “The Gettysburg Address.” Brought to life by first-person history presenters Max and Donna Daniels, learn the context of the address and their time in the White House, participate in a Q&A session, and take a photo with the beloved President and First Lady in the “Freedom: A History of US” exhibit. Participating children can test their 19th-century penmanship skills using a steel-tipped pen and ink. All ages welcome!
