Overview
Whether you’re new to the role of being an Advisor, or a long time practitioner, you’ll leave inspired with practical lessons and structures you can implement the next day, creative approaches for authentic advisory alignment, and renewal of your own unique connection to SEL!
During this experiential and practical course we will bring to life IFSEL’s Advisory Principles, and offer a rich collection of low-prep, high-impact SEL activities. Supercharge your work as an Advisor; explore rituals that build trust and inclusion; and learn and experience a range of adaptable SEL activities that meet the needs of adolescents.

The Program is designed for those who are committed to and responsible for implementing a Middle or High School Advisory Program, including:

Course Goals & Outcomes:
- Approaches for being an authentic and accessible advisor
- Understanding of 'IFSEL's 8 Principles for Building a Thriving Advisory Program'
- Activities to deepen and promote inter- and intra-personal development
- Exploration and understanding of the role of structure and emerging curriculum
- Increased confidence in your ability to advise and navigate complex or challenging topics with your Advisees

Cancellation, Refund and Credit Policy:
Registration fees will be refunded at 50% of the registration ticket price paid, less the $50 refund processing cost, if requested in writing more than two-weeks prior to the start of the course. From two weeks prior to the start of the course until the day before the course begins, refunds requested in writing will be granted a credit for the full value of their registration ticket price.
