The Journey of Caregiving: Navigating Love, Loss, and Resilience

The Journey of Caregiving: Navigating Love, Loss, and Resilience

By Sensational Seniors Workshops

Overview

Join Dave Iverson to explore caregiving’s ups and downs—from love and loss to resilience. Hosted by Sensational Seniors & St. Matthew.

Join Sensational Seniors and St. Matthew for an insightful discussion and book signing with Dave Iverson, a writer, documentary filmmaker, and retired KQED broadcast journalist who produced more than 20 PBS films. Following his own diagnosis with Parkinson's disease, Dave became a caregiver for his mother and later wrote a book about his caregiving experience called Winter Stars: An Elderly Mother, An Aging Son and Life's Final Journey.

In this event, Dave will explore the eldercare crisis, managing emotions when caregiving becomes personal, and finding support and balance as a caregiver. Come prepared to be inspired and empowered to face the challenges of caregiving with strength and compassion. We look forward to seeing you there!
