    We're back from our summer hiatus and can't wait to see you all again! Join us at Shaw's Tavern on August 19th at 7:00 pm for an incredible reading featuring Elizabeth Evitts Dickinson reading alongside nine local writers in fiction, nonficiton, and poetry, including our Summer Residents!

    Whether you're a bookworm, an inspiring writer, or just enjoy listening to stories, The Inner Loop readings have something for everyone.     Elizabeth Evitts Dickinson is an award-winning journalist and author whose writing has been widely published in The New York Times, Harper’sThe New Yorker, The Southern Review, and The Washington Post Magazine, among many others. A former National Endowment for the Arts Creative Writing Fellow, Dickinson’s work has earned recognition in anthologies such as The Best American Essays and been awarded Maryland’s prestigious Mary Sawyers Imboden Prize for literature. Her new book, Claire McCardell: The Designer Who Set Women Free, has been called “an essential read” and is the riveting hidden history of the most influential fashion designer you’ve never heard of.
