Overview

Discover the legacy and impact of HBCUs in this panel featuring campus voices sharing stories of identity, leadership, and empowerment.

Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) were founded on the unwavering belief that education is a powerful force for liberation and progress. For over 150 years, HBCUs have produced trailblazers, scholars, activists, and leaders who have reshaped our country and redefined what’s possible.
This empowering panel features voices from our own campus community faculty, administrators, and alumni who will share the history of HBCUs, how these institutions shaped their personal and professional journeys, and how those values continue to guide them today. Through storytelling and reflection, we’ll explore the enduring impact of HBCUs on identity, leadership, and educational opportunity.
Whether you’ve attended an HBCU, considered one, or are simply curious about their role in shaping American education, this conversation will offer insight and inspiration.
