THE HOUSE WITHIN: A Whole New Way to Understand and Manage Your Emotions
Workshop Overview
Do your emotions seem to run your life? Do you feel like they just happen, as if they have a mind of their own? Join us for this transformative two-hour workshop that introduces a revolutionary visual framework for understanding and managing your emotional world.
THE HOUSE WITHIN offers a fresh approach to emotional wellbeing—without medical jargon, using only everyday language and the powerful visual concept of a house with five floors representing your different emotional states.
What You'll Learn
In this practical, engaging workshop, you will:
Discover the 5 floors of your emotional house: Learn about your ATTIC, UPSTAIRS, GROUND FLOOR, BASEMENT and CELLAR—the five states of mind we all experience
Understand the spiral staircase: Explore how emotions shift and how to generate your own momentum toward what you really want to achieve
Master simple, effective tools: Learn practical techniques to "change floors" (shift your emotional state) whenever you need to
Improve your relationships: Apply THE HOUSE WITHIN framework to better manage relationships with partners, friends, parents, and children
Gain a new vocabulary: Move beyond words like anxiety, depression, and disorder to concepts that actually help you understand and manage your feelings
Who Should Attend
This workshop is ideal for people who:
Experience anxiety and low mood
Struggle with procrastination or getting things done
Feel they spiral up and/or down emotionally
Want practical tools to understand and manage their emotions better
Are seeking a fresh, accessible approach to emotional wellbeing
Why THE HOUSE WITHIN Approach?
Traditional mental health language can be clinical and unhelpful for everyday understanding. THE HOUSE WITHIN creates structure in what often feels like emotional chaos. By learning to notice which "floor" you're on at any moment, you can learn to move between emotional states intentionally—giving you real agency over your emotional life.
