Frequently asked questions

If I don't plan to walk, what time should I arrive?

We recommend arriving around 10:00 AM, that will be the time the 2.5-mile Unity Walk will end. That way, you can still enjoy the celebration, explore the vendors, listen to the speakers, and take part in the community activities happening throughout the day!

Should I bring my own chair?

Yes, we encourage you to bring your own chair for comfort, especially if you plan to stay and enjoy the speakers, performances, or vendor area. Seating may be limited.

What if the weather is too hot or rainy?

The event will take place rain or shine, so we encourage attendees to come prepared. If the weather is hot, please bring water, wear light clothing. If it's rainy, bring a poncho or umbrella—we’ll still walk in unity unless severe weather creates unsafe conditions.

Are pets welcomed?

Yes, pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and well-behaved. We kindly ask that pet owners clean up after their animals and ensure they are comfortable in a crowd. Water stations will be available for humans only, but feel free to bring extra for your furry friend!

Can my whole family attend?

Absolutely! This is a family-friendly event and we welcome attendees of all ages. There will be music, community resources, vendors, and activities that everyone can enjoy together. Bring the whole family and join us in celebrating unity, freedom, and community!

How much does this event cost?

This event is completely free and open to the public! However, donations are appreciated from those participating in the 2.5-mile Unity Walk to help support the mission and ongoing work of The House of Kadence.
