The HERD at the Parkway

HERD hosts regular events featuring amateur storytelling performances by women, for women.

HERD provides a safe and empowering space for women to share their stories—there will be no judging or winners. We draw inspiration from other storytelling platforms like NPR's The Moth, but with a women-centered, joy-forward focus. You can simply be part of the audience and support the storytellers, or you can throw your name into the hat to be one of the nine featured "Yaks."

Interested in sharing your story? If so, please keep it under 5 minutes and make sure it's true as you remember it and personal. Also- no notes! These stories are told from the heart.

The theme for this event is PRESENT. Open carefully. These women’s stories are the kind of presents that stay with you long after the night ends.
