The Heeters were the first band of the year at the Crazy Horse and their performance was the equivalent of walking through a field of wildflowers dripping in morning dew. It set a fresh, beautiful tone for the year ahead. The soul and R&B quartet has continued to enchant audiences since then with their irresistible, seductive sounds. Most notably, their performances drew raves at the High Sierra Music Festival.
The band is the brainchild of ultra-vibey lead singer and songwriter, Tom Quell. His vocal abilities have drawn such lofty comparisons as Sam Cooke and Paul McCartney. Two members of the world-renowned band, The California Honeydrops, add their tremendous talents to the equation. They are Lorenzo Loera on keys and Miles Blackwell on bass. Jazz-funk drummer Sheldon Alexander is the backbone of the band, contributing heavily to their sultry grooves. Three-part harmonies on classic covers and originals will have any audience swooning.
