We will have people at The Forks to watch your boat.

What safety precautions are taken for this race?

We have marine police who follow the racers ensuring everyone gets off the river safely.

We will have port-o-lets at the beginning and middle of the race. There is a restroom at Disney Lake/Landing at the end of the race.

The Great Escape: River Run from Crockett

This river race on the Mulberry Fork of the Black Warrior River traces the route the residents of the Creek village of Black Warrior Town took to escape Davy Crockett and the Tennesee Militia. It begins at The Forks, 5840 Sipsey Road, Empire, Alabama and ends at Disney Lake/Landing in the town of Cordova where the Indian Head Mill Festival will be in full swing. Our river is beautiful in October, and a good time is had by all!
