About this event
About The Gathering
The Gathering is a new national event for anyone practicing or curious about collaborative co-design. Over one day, the co-design community will come together, learn from each other, and evolve how we design and lead change in a complex, rapidly shifting world.
As our challenges grow more interconnected – climate, technology, inequality, governance – so too must our approaches to solving them. The Gathering invites facilitators, designers, changemakers, policymakers, and community leaders to pause, reconnect, and explore what the future of collaborative co-design looks like.
What to Expect
At this Unconference Conference, you'll experience a mix of:
🔹 Interactive Workshops: hands-on sessions where you can test and refine your co-design tools, methods, and mindsets
🔹 Speaker Session and Panels: local and international experts sharing insights, provocations, and real-world examples
🔹 Case Study Showcases: practical stories from the field, including what's working, what's emerging, and what we're still figuring out
🔹 Collaborative Conversations: space to reflect, connect, and shape how we practice together
🔹 New Tech + AI Tools: explore new ways we can ethically and practically integrate emerging technologies into participatory practice
🔹 Knowledge Sharing: all insights captured will be shared with attendees and the wider community in a post-event report
Expect to walk away inspired, challenged, and better equipped to lead collaborative work that matters.
