The Gathering: A Common Table Christmas Reception

Join us for an evening of community, joy, and belonging this holiday season. This festive cocktail reception will feature appetizers and drinks, interactive Christmas-themed activities, and an opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for bringing the Good News out from our churches and into the community.

• Option 1 - General Admission: $25 (total of $28.52 with fees)
• Option 2 - General Admission + Donation: Use this ticket option if you'd like to immediately make a donation above the $25 ticket price (for example, you want to pay $25 for the ticket and add an additional $100 donation for a total of $125)

What is Common Table?

Common Table is an open community of believers and seekers, invited to gather around a common table, share a meal, and engage in deep and meaningful conversation on faith, community, and belonging. We meet monthly for dinner and other times each month. Learn more at commontableclt.com.

Who are you reaching?

Common Table reaches those who are curious about faith, healing from religious trauma, or want a safe, respectful, and inclusive place to engage with their questions about faith and the church. Since our launch in April 2024, we have reached over 170 people, with more than 80 attending at least one monthly dinner.

What are your plans for 2026?

We’ve already launched an additional program, and have ideas for more in 2026. We’re also developing new ways of growing connection and care among the Common Table community. Common Table is an ecumenical Fresh Expression ministry of St. Stephen United Methodist Church and St. John's Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC, supported in by part the generous donations of church members, friends, and community members, as well as grants from the Reynolds Ministry Fund of the United Methodist Foundation of Western North Carolina, the Vitality Grant Program of the Metro District of the UMC Western North Carolina Conference, and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of North Carolina.
