Ready to commit to your writing in the new year? Join us for an 8-week winter workshop designed to strengthen your short fiction skills, spark new ideas, and build a supportive creative community. We’ll study craft, read other writers, generate new work each week, and share our stories for group workshop. We’ll wrap up with a celebratory reading in the bookstore open to friends and family. ✨

📍 Tuesday nights, 7pm - 8:30pm (with open studio writing time in the store from 5pm-7pm)
💵 $299 • Beginners to Intermediate welcome
Instructor: Aeriel Merillat, fiction writer + bookseller at Wild Aster Books; MFA from University of Pittsburgh; 2021 Lighthouse Workshop Fellow and 2023 Bread Loaf Contributor, with work in The Massachusetts Review, Reed Magazine, and Fractured Lit.
You’ll walk away with:
✔ a deeper understanding of the fundamentals of short fiction
✔ new tools for crafting scenes, character, dialogue, and tension
✔ a polished short story (1,000–3,000 words)
