Overview

Learn about the techniques used on day to day basis to keep horses sound and comfortable in their work

This year we are hosting three clinicians; Andrew Bowyer FWCF Grad Dip ELR, Andrew 'Kiwi' Nickalls DWCF, Laura Browne MSc Animal Chiropractic(Equine & Canine)Animal massage cert.


As with previous years the morning session will be in the carriage house watching and interacting with the three presenters.


Andrew Bowyer will be discussing "Shoe modifications and their practical application to functional anatomy"


Andrew Nickalls will talk about "It's much harder to do the basics than you think"


Laura Browne will give us an "Introduction to equine chiropractic and functional anatomy; what, how and why?"


After the usual delicious hot lunch from the Unicorn Centre we will have the afternoon session.


We will have a live horse observation;

Laura will discuss points of the horse and markers that she looks for when assessing horses in her day to day work.


Andrew Nickalls will go through his thought process when performing a pre-shoeing assessment, followed by shoeing the front feet of a horse with asymmetric feet


Andrew Bowyer will demonstrate some of the everyday modifcations discussed in the morning.
