The Finkelpearl Workshops: Morning Session

What's it take to sell your idea and be taken seriously in show business? Well, creativity is a must, of course. Hustle, persistence, and a positive vibe are essential. On top of that, a lot of preparation! This workshop guides creatives through the entire process, from conceiving an idea to pitching it to a network or streamer. We'll cover how to strategize what to develop and for whom. How to develop casts of real characters. Understanding different genres and how to follow the ever-changing dynamics of what the market wants. Option agreements and protecting your intellectual property, and aligning with production companies, agencies, and network and streamer executives. We also explore why sizzle reels are key and how to create effective ones that may sell.

The Finkelpearl Workshops: Afternoon Session

You only get one chance to pitch your non-fiction idea around to streamers and networks and show them your sizzle reel. The stakes are high, and sizzles are the currency of selling intellectual property. Your sizzle reel has to be best-in-class. In this workshop for creatives, we cover why sizzles are so essential and how to maximize your chances of making one that will get executives to sit up in their chairs. Attendees are encouraged to bring their sizzles to the workshop if they have them, either WIP or complete, for evaluation and feedback.
