Is this event family-friendly?

Yes! This is a family-friendly event with activities for both kids and adults. Everyone is welcome!

Is there a cost to attend?

Yes. Metro DC NCCU Alumni Chapter members can attend for free. Non-members ages 13 and up are $10. Children ages 5 to 12 are $5. Children ages 4 and under are free. We encourage everyone to register in advance so we can plan for food, seating, and activities.

Do I need to be an NCCU alum to attend?

Nope! While this event is hosted by the Metro DC NCCU Alumni Chapter, friends, family, and supporters are all welcome to join in the fun. Please note: There is a $10 entry fee for non-members. Chapter members attend for free. Kids 12 and under are free.

Will food be provided?

Yes, delicious food and drinks will be served. Come hungry!

Should I bring anything?

Please bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and your NCCU gear! You’ll want to be comfortable while showing your Eagle pride.

Will there be access to indoor space?

Yes! We’ll have indoor space available to cool off, relax, and hang out throughout the event.

Is parking available?

Yes, free parking is available on-site at Judith P. Hoyer Montessori School.

What happens if it rains?

This event will take place rain or shine. Indoor space is available, and any weather updates will be shared via email and social media.

Will there be vegetarian options?

Yes, we will offer a limited selection of vegetarian options.

How can I volunteer or donate?

There will be a sign-up sheet for volunteers leading up to the event. Monetary donations can be made directly through Eventbrite. For all other donations (raffle items, supplies, etc.), please contact us at metrodcsocial@gmail.com.
