Description

Dr Javier Ventura-Traveset, Head of ESA's Galileo Navigation Science Office will discuss what's next for young European space professionals: new programmes currently being proposed, and challenges and opportunities in the European Space landscape.

The event is kindly hosted by Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya / Signal Theory and Communications Department.

A "Barcelona Space Dinner" will follow the talk, starting at 21:00 at Restaurant TRADE (next to El Corte Inglés Ma Cristina). To register for the dinner (at your own cost), follow this link.

Image: ESA's BepiColombo - Artist’s impression of the Mercury Planetary Orbiter at Mercury. The planet-facing side of the spacecraft hosts most of the scientific instruments. BepiColombo is a joint endeavour between ESA and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, JAXA, that just started the launch preparation campaign at Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana for a launch in late 2018 to be followed by a 7-year trip to Mercury.
