The Dust of Suns Quartet: Alyosha Live in the Galleries
Overview
Join The Dust of Suns Quartet for an evening of dreamlike, romantic, and utterly transportive music performed in the heart of The Museum of Russian Art. This special concert features a full performance of their forthcoming album Alyosha — a shimmering collection of original works influenced by French café traditions and classical character pieces, including Satie’s Gnossiennes and Chopin’s Mazurkas.
Their sound has been likened to “Satie on a music box” and “Nino Rota writing for Fellini,” an intimate blend of whimsy and cinematic color.
In addition to Alyosha in its entirety, the program includes select favorites from their repertoire.
Featuring:
Erica Burton — Viola
Chris Lynch — Piano / Composer
Phala Tracy — Harp
Jacqueline Ultan — Cello
The Dust of Suns have played everywhere from art openings and Bastille Day celebrations to vineyards, animal sanctuaries, and punk rock clubs. This concert invites listeners into a full, immersive experience of their singular sound inside TMORA’s galleries - music unfolding among artworks.
